What We Do
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractors are health care professionals who specialise in the treatment and diagnosis of neuromuscular disorders. They receive special training in manual adjustment techniques, which they then use to adjust your spine and eliminate misalignments in the spine, called subluxations, that may be causing health problems.
A subluxation is the altered position of the vertebra and subsequent functional loss, which determines the location for the spinal manipulation that is then carried out by the chiropractor. The objective of chiropractic treatment is to reduce the subluxation, therefore increasing range of motion, reducing nerve irritability and improving overall function. By removing all interferences from the Central Nervous System, that our vertebrae surround, we enable our body to work as intended.
Chiropractic is widely recognised as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal complaints.
Although chiropractic has an excellent safety record, no health treatment is completely free of potential adverse effects. These low level risks will be addressed at the clinic when you attend.
